Directly on the Czech border, deep in the Bavarian Forest, there is the herbs community Mauth-Finsterau. The friendly community Mauth-Finsterau nestles at the National Park Bavarian Forest in the east. As one of the first villages, the community Mauth offers an extensive leisure programme around the subject of herbs and medicinal plants. The chefs of the region know how to utilise this special natural diversity, and create culinary masterworks from regional specialities for their guests.

So, winter sport fans can live life to the full in the Eldorado of cross-country ski trails, particularly in Finsterau which scores with cross-country ski trails of different degrees of difficulty and a biathlon ground.

The so-called “Buchwaldloipe” is connected with the Czech cross-country ski trail network. On the “Dreikönigsloipe” in Mauth, holidaymakers enjoy, apart from skiing fun, also the impressive landscape.
